    Azure was annouced in October 2008, and released on February 1, 2020.

  • Cloud Foundry

    Clound Foundry is an open source, multi-cloud application platform as a service governed by the Cloud Foundry Foundation, a 501©(6) organization.

    Cloud Foundry provides a highly efficient, modern model for cloud native application delivery on top of Kubernetes.

  • History

    Originally conceived in 2009, Cloud Foundry was designed and developed by a small team at VMware led by Derek Collison.

    In January 2015, the Cloud Foundary Foundation was created as an indepenent not-for-profit 501©(6) Linux Foundation Collaborative Project.

  • MQTT

    MQTT(Message Queuing Telemetry Transport) is an open OASIS and ISO standard lightweight, publish-subscribe network protocol that transports messages between devices.

    The protocol usually runs over TCP/IP.

    It is designed for connections with remote locations where a “small code footprint” is required or the network bandwidth is limited.

    Andy Stanford-Clark and Arlen Nipper authored the first version of the protocol in 1999. It was used to monitor an oil pipeline through the desert.
