課程大綱
Course Description
The objective of this course is to provide the basic concepts of scientific computing, with applications to diversified areas including simple games, page rank, fractals, linear equations, interpolation, ordinary differential equations, and so on. We shall emphasize the use of MATLAB as the tool for such scientific computing and visualization.

Course format
We shall have lecture and lab sessions.The TA will lead the lab session and students are expected to finish the assignments in the lab sessions. The time for the lab sessions is to be determined in the class.
Syllabus
We shall follow the contents of the books by Cleve Moler closely.
Evaluation
Course participation: 10% or so
Assignment: 50% or so
Exam: 40% or so
