Linsheng - Jump Starter Use Related Consultation

We have received a lot of advice about the health of the jump starter. After "Where can I buy your product?", this is probably the most frequently asked question. Sometimes this problem is very specific and involves a very fast start-up situation or use case. Therefore, we believe that we will address these issues in this article and hope that we can help eliminate any doubts.

Q1: How often should I charge my jump starter?
A: We want you to charge your device after each use, but we know that this may not be true in all situations. Therefore, if you are running a mobile service operation or other non-stationary feature, it is highly recommended that you charge the unit overnight when it is used as a jump or as a power source. Put the unit on the charger at 7 pm and fully charge it before the start of the next working day. For occasional users, it is recommended that you charge every 90 days after each use and when you are not using the device. Putting your device in a fully charged or near fully charged state is the number one factor in predicting device life.

Q2: I received a charge notification and started charging the device, but the indicator light is green. Does this mean that I should not charge?

A: No. We still recommend charging the unit for 4-6 hours. Although the charger may not turn on if the device is fully charged, if the charger is slightly below full charge but high enough to trigger a green light, doing so will return the device to a fully charged state.

Similar to the above, but different. When I purchased the jump starter, the manual and the carton said that it was charged for 24 hours on the first purchase, but when I did it, the indicator light was green.

First of all, this makes many people confused. It's important to understand that some devices are very fast from manufacturing to the end user, while others move very slowly. Therefore, we require all purchasers to charge their organization at the time of purchase because we are unable to determine who actually needs to charge. However, like the answer above, we encourage all buyers, even those who drive green light, to charge within 4-6 hours of purchase.

Q3: In the winter, can I leave the high jump starter in the car? After all, the manual states that the ideal storage temperature is 70 ̊F.

A: The simple answer is yes. Just like your car battery, the unit should perform well before it encounters extreme temperatures. Our general rule of thumb is that if the temperature of the device is below -20 ̊F, you may want to consider placing it overnight. In addition, in the extreme cold weather for a long time, we recommend charging every 30 days instead of the normal 90-day charging interval. When charging the device at extreme temperatures, allow it to warm up for about 30 minutes before charging. If you do this, the battery will be easier to charge.

Q4: What if I have not used or charged for two years? Why doesn't it work?
Just like your car battery, if you let the bounce starter sit inactive for a long time, the internal chemistry of the battery will begin to deteriorate. Eventually, its ability to accept charging is compromised and the battery becomes useless. Just as you never expected to start a car that has been in the lane for two years without first replacing the battery, the same is true for starter starters.

Q: 5: Lithium unit jump starter?

A: The lithium battery starter is not much different from other lithium battery powered devices (whether mobile phones, tablets or other items) in your life. You won't expect to be able to put your phone in the drawer for a year and then come back to use it, just like the last time you touched the phone yesterday. The same is true for lithium jump starters. Like our lead-acid devices, we recommend charging them every 90 days when not in use, and charging them every day if they are used regularly.

Q6: My jump starter includes a DC charging line. Should I use AC charging or AC charging?

A: The DC charging method should be used only when the AC charging method is not feasible. For example, you don't have access to an AC outlet, but you need to charge your device. There are a few things to keep in mind when you have to use the DC method. The first is that the DC power port on the jump starter is directly connected to the internal battery, so care must be taken not to overcharge. Always monitor the voltmeter and observe its progress. Once the state of charge of 13.0-13.2 VDC is reached, it should be disconnected. Second, it is important to remember that the output of the car's power port is quite high compared to the output of the AC charging system. This means that the device can be charged very quickly using the DC charging method. Therefore, do not connect in this way, check back in an hour. It may be too late.

Q7: I think I lost the wall charger. I found the right one, can I use it?

A: Regardless of the type of jump starter you have (lead acid, lithium, supercapacitor or other), it is important to use only wall chargers designed to meet your equipment needs. Each wall charger model may output different voltages and amperages. All batteries are sensitive to overvoltage conditions and should always be avoided. If you have any questions, please contact us.
